I just got home from a tennis match and I’m pretty beat up, so I thought I’d make another post. So! How many hours can you go without your computer? Can you even go 24? This is just a cool little experiment I found on digg today. I know I can go 24 hours, and looks like most people claim they can. I think if you say you can’t, you’re either too tied up in the whole computer business/you need to work on your websites, you’ve got no friends, or you have money to make.

Eh… I could do it… but on that day, why? I know i could do it, I have before, but I dont need to prove anything. Hell, over the summer I went 6 weeks without a computer, and when one was right in front of my I didnt even bother. But my cell phone… thats another question.
@Andrew: A Wii is a “computer” because it is literally being ran by a processor. Which means it is computing data.
I can’t I have to many clients to just leave for a day, so I guess I can’t shutdown.
Garrett: Yes, but then that’s like saying people can’t drive their cars on that day, watch TV, or basically do anything electronic. The point of the day is for no computer, and in that sense what we are using right now.
Well then it becomes the deffinition of “whats a computer?” These days you can do computer stuff, without even having a computer. Almost all cell phones can go online, etc.
I think that, apart from obligations that require utmost attention, everyone should try and stay off any computers for this one day. I know I will!

I was just looking at your site in IE6, and you have bunches of errors. The rounded corners don’t display properly, and your logo isn’t even showing.
Scratch the logo thing above, it’s showing now.
There’s no way for me, every time I see a computer I lunge at it.
People can say they will stay off, but in reality almost all of them will still use a computer.
A Wii, 360, PS3 and all of that are computers, no doubt. You can download content from the internet… plus if they just meant your personal computer they would have said “PC” rather than computer.
Just my thoughts. I’ll be working that day.
If I didn’t offer web hosting then sure I would, but seeing as I do that’s not happening. I’ve made a commitment to my clients.
